N well.. here's something abt u n ur skin..
The skin is not just a visible indication of wad u subject it to on the outside, but also an indication of wat's going on inside. The condition of your skin is affected by your age, genes, hygiene, circulation, digestion, detoxification, immune system, the environment, your psychology and ur food intake..
A poor diet will lead to a lack of nutrients, which may cause rashes, itching, dryness, easy bruising, poor wound-healing, pallor, changes in skin pigmentation, or sore lips n mouth. They may also be hair loss n brittle nails.
The way to perfect skin (for the whole body's wellbeing also) is to limit alcohol, caffeine, chemical addictives, salt, saturated fat, sugar and smoking. In order words, adequate and well-proportioned intake of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals n.. WATER (the nature's moisturiser). A balanced nutritious diet will help promote normal growth and maintenance of the skin.
It is recommended that a minimum of 1ltr of water shld be consumed everydae.. dehydration leaves all the cells in the body grapsing..Water is a crucial component, providing a basis for the healthy, soft, taut look of youthful skin...
Point to note is tat, there is still no firm scientific evidence to link 'heaty' food with acne breakouts.
Consumers have turned their attention towards the use of food supplements in a bid to improve their skin condition lately: evening primrose oil and fish oil for chronic inflammatory skin disorders like ECZEMA and psoriasis, as well as green tea, ginko, garlic, vitamins C and E as antioxidants, n the more recent polypodium leucotomos plant extract for prevention of sun damage.
It's hard to evaluate whether skin conditions can be improved thru dietary manipulation as some of these diseases run a course filled with exacerbation and remission. When a skin condition improves, it could also be due to the food supplement or the medication as prescribed. And of cos, to have the healthiest skin, a proper combination food supplements and medication will do the trick.
avoiding of the sun, heavy make-up and overwashing are some daily actions u can practise to minimise skin damage. As for food supplements, ard 2250mg of VitaminA, 2000mg of VitaminC and 400mg of VitaminE (a multivitamin pill plus extra antioxidant nutrient shld do the trick) is recommended. N, to top it off.. stay happy... for stress can take its tolll too!
